Shaping the future in the Rhenish mining district

The spatial strategy for the Rhenish mining district 2038+ maps out a future path for the spatial development of the region up to the year 2038 and beyond. The existing potentials are to be bundled in the context of the spatial strategy and transformed into a spatial image that is capable of achieving consensus. The spatial strategy process acts as a discussion forum for the regional actors with the aim of jointly defining viable building blocks and objectives. The aim is to set the course for a successful future in the Rhenish mining district in a timely manner in order to meet the diverse future challenges with a well thought-out, sustainable and viable transformation strategy.

As a part of the Zukunftsagentur Rheinisches Revier, the Revierknoten Raum supports project partners and brings together existing plans and concepts in a spatial planning process.
